Our kick off to Spring break!

Brod's spring break is starting this week and we are so excited!! "His girls" have had the countdown to have him to ourselves going for so long now and finally it's here. We started his first day at the beach. We packed a cooler (and I'll give most of you a guess of what it was mainly filled with :) ) and staked our little spot. We spent the next few hours just relaxing in the sun, reading, building sand castles, and having a family swim in the ocean. Alexia and I were pretending we were dolphins by going under the water together but then pretending to be dolpins turned into being the Little Mermaid. Audrey was safe in Brod's arms but got so tippy and said that she wanted to go under water too. But then when I would go to take her she would quickly add, "but no I don't" . No surprise there! Alexia is our little daredevil and Audrey is just the opposite. When we got home all of us took naps, woke up and got ready to go to a carnival that was just down the street from our house. Alexia went on as may adult rides that she could and Audrey was content going through the fun houses. However, she did go on a little dragon roller coaster if Alexia went with her and it ended up being her favorite ride! She kept calling it the alligator ride... yep, she has spent the majority of her life in Florida. :) It was the funnest day and when we finally got home that night, Alexia said, "this has been the most magical day." It melted my heart and I couldn't have agreed with her more!
We are so excited for this upcoming week and have so many things planned...if it's not obvious, us girls live for when we can be with Brod, and as Lex says be a "happy family".

Jess,
Looks like you guys have started the week off right. Alexia told me all about her family day in Primary today. She was so excited about the carnival it was really cute. Enjoy the rest of your week. We leave for Daytona tomorrow for the week. See you at the gym when we get back.. :)

Jess,
I'm loving your more frequent posts! It is so fun for me to see a glimpse into your "magical" life. The beach is sounding like a dream at the moment! It snowed here yesterday!! ugh. I loved the image I got of you and Audrey pretending to be dolphins and mermaids in the ocean. You are the cutest mom. When are you guys heading back this way? I can't wait to see you again. Love you.

Hey you!! Your girls are soooo cute! It sounds like you guys had a ton of fun. I love it when we have Steve all to ourselves. (which is very rare!) The beach sounds like so much fun- I wish we lived closer to the beach. The only thing that we have that even resembles a beach is our washes full of sand- so when it rains and their full of water it's kind of like a beach- if you squint! Hey, shoot me an email at skpettingill@yahoo.com and I will send you an invite to our blog. Hope you guys have a wonderful week with Brod! Love ya!!! (by the way this is Krista- AK)

Wow-I don't think my kids would even remember seeing the ocean, let alone going under the water! You guys have had such an amazing adventure there, one I'm sure you'll never forget. Pacie lost her breath when she saw Alexia. She said, Mommy, I miss that girl! (pronounced grill) Can't wait to see you guys again. Love you!

Jess -
Okay, how long has it been?! Your blog is too cute. It should be the example for what a blog should look like! It's like when I buy a picture frame and the stock image is so cute that I feel remorse for removing it and filling it with my own fugly mug! I'll just copy and paste your posts and work some photoshop magic. :) Seriously, your girls are too cute. I love reading about your life. - Raquel

Jess- That is so cute that your girls were so excited and so anxious for this week to be with Brod. It looks like you guys are having so much fun- it'll be fun to hear what else you have planned up your sleeve for the rest of the week :) I cannot even tell you how fun it sounds to go swimming right now. I still get snow in my shoes and it makes me in the worst mood- and you get to run your buns barefoot in the sand :) Call me when you can. Love you, Krys

Jessica -- What is it that makes pictures of little kids on the beach and on a Ferris Wheel and Carousel make me want to bawl! And you have all of them in one entry! Your family is so adorable, Jessica. You are such a cute mom out playing dolphins! Gorgeous family and you look so happy. Wish we could see you guys. Love you!
