On Saturday, Audrey finally got what she wanted- earrings! She's been wanting some like "sister and mommy" and so she was really excited. We explained that it would hurt a little bit, but to be brave. She felt prepared for the challenge, but once she was in that chair, she got really nervous. (So did I!) She sat on Brod's lap and after the first ear was done, she just got really serious and I could tell she was trying to be so brave. They let her see it in the mirror before the second one, and when Brod said, "Okay, are you ready for the other one?" She just answered, "no". So once the second one was done, she wasn't able to hold it in any longer and started to cry. She only cried a few seconds, and then when she looked in the mirror and we told her it was all done, she felt better. Then she just started to get proud! She pranced around the mall with her little pink bag with her ear solution in it like she was the diva she really is! (Notice the purse in the pictures- always has to be carrying one) She has been proud ever since and we haven't had any problems...yet! This was at the very first when she was watching the girl set everything up
The more she watched, the more she got nerved- she even has my worried lines
The first ear...
Immediately they showed her in the mirror
She wasn't as excited about the second one!
Good thing daddy was there to comfort
I love this picture because she really is proud but you can still see the tears in her eyes.

Absolutely ADORABLE!
That is so exciting for her... of course she got proud, she loves anything sparkley and prissy...just like me! Im glad she was brave! It was so sweet of brodie to be there for her. Love you! ~Rebekah
So darling! She is just beautiful! I remember getting Alie's done and she was so excited! Why did they do the piercings one at a time? Ouch! :) She really looks so proud and I love love the earrings on her! What a sweet daddy!
I don't know if you know who I am, but I went to school with Brodie and I just had to tell you that you have the most darling family!! I get a little jealous looking at your blog with the beach and palm trees in the background. It must be wonderful living in Florida. I remember getting my girls' ears pierced. Your Audrey did so good! My husband asked me to keep our blog private, but if you would like to take a look to see who the heck I am just email me and I will send you an invite boandbria@hotmail.com
Oh my gosh, she looks so cute. I can't handle the tears in her eyes just trying to be brave. It melted my heart to see her little body in her daddy's arms. I can't handle her. Tell Audrey she looks beautiful and we are so proud of her and happy for her big day. Love you!
PS It was Sophie's first day of church and she got compliments on her "bling" binkie. It made me think of you!
How adorable is she? What a beauty she is! How exciting to get her ears pierced. That is a huge event! I keep begging Jared to let us get Ellie's done but he says not until shes 12. I just think thats crazy. We might just sneak and do it anyway! :)
Jess -- Those pictures are so darling . . . but they kind of broke my heart the same time. She is so sweet to be so brave! You really could just see it on her little face. It is so cute to have Brodie there, too for strength because it is so unbelievably hard when you know it is going to be hard for them. You could tell just how safe she felt with him. She gets prettier and prettier, Jess. What a little angel. I love you guys
OH my gosh! That post is so darling.. for many reasons! First, Audrey looks so darling with her little worried, brave, and proud faces! It made me laugh thinking of her carrying around that purse with solution in it- that is so cute! Second, that is so cute that Brodie was there for her to sit on and to make her feel safe (I bet it helped so much). Then, I loved the fact that she has earrings and ew, she looks cute! You are such an amazing mom Jess, and I love you so much. I can't wait to see those earrings in person and give Audrey a hug for being so brave! Love you, Krys
Jess, that is so cute! And she is so so cute. Such a little GIRL! Through and through you can tell she just loves being a girl! So fun.
Our girls are obsessed with earrings too! Scott says 10 years old-so we're waiting. But in the meantime, Pacie wears around the earrings that come with the Mrs. Potato Head. Hurt-ya...real desperate!
She is darling.
Love you!
I love the play by play...I kind of felt like I was there...just feeling all of the emotions! I love how Brodie is just apart of every event..big or small! What a good dad. And I really can't believe how gorgeous she is and how much she looks exactly like you!!
