The time came that Brod and I have been waiting for ever since we moved here to Florida-- taking Alexia to Disney World! We wanted it to be such a special one on one, so Audrey stayed home with one of her friends. (Thanks Ginny! You really are the best!) Audrey didn't know where we were going so she thought she was the lucky one that got to have a sleepover with her friends by herself! I really don't know if Brod and I have been so excited for anything before! When we were on our way Alexia was so excited to talk about everything that we would see. Then we arrived at our condo and it was SO nice! (Although we were going to pay for it the next morning since we had to go to a timeshare presentation... nightmare) Where the timeshare presentation was going to take most of the morning on Friday, we took Alexia to Epcot first and it was a blast. She is our thrill seeker, so the scarier the ride the better! Then Saturday we went to the Magic Kingdom. Brod and I had in our minds what it might be like to take Alexia, but the day exceeded our expectations. Since we were seeing everything through her eyes, everything was real, everything was bigger, and everything was magical. She wore her Tinkerbell dress to the park and all of the workers would say, "Hi Tink!" or "There's Tinkerbell!" Alexia would look up at me with that proud face and it just added to the charm of the day. Every single ride was funner and more enchanting riding it with Lex and she loved every one of them. The highlight of the day was when she was able to meet the real Tinkerbell and I would have given anything if I could have caught her face when she saw her for the first time. It was perfect because Brod told Alexia that Tinkerbell used her magic to make her big so that she could be seen in all of the pictures. Then when all of the kids left, she would go back to being small. :) This weekend where Brod and I were able to totally concentrate and focus on everything "our Tinkerbell" saw and did was one that I know that neither of us will ever forget. It truly was magical.
Our Condo

Our first night- she had her own room! (Even though she ended up sleeping with us :) )

The kitchen- it was so fun getting our own groceries (I should say treats)

And this is what I was loving!

The view with the swan boats

So fun!!
This was in the "country" Mexico- they had the JUICIEST Mexican restaurant I have ever seen in my life
She put this on and said, "Mommy! Take a picture!" She's definitely used to getting her picture taken!p>
Magic Kingdom

So pretty decorated for Christmas!

Our first ride- the magic carpet ride (we knew it would be boring to her later after the other rides!)

I LOVE this picture because her face says it all! They were giving her a hard time about being Tinkerbell- it was so funny!

Her little hands together melts my heart because she does that when she's nervous. :)

Enjoying a mid-day treat!

Meeting Jasmine and Aladdin- so not as nervous with them! :)

In "Pixie Hollow" waiting to meet Tinnkerbell!

Taking Tinkerbell's hand

She loved everything Tinkerbell did!

One of my favorite pictures! She was so proud to be with her!

Inside Minnie's house together- Lex thought it was the cutest thing... and it is!

She was able to rest on Daddy while we walked across the park

Ready to go on Space Mountain- and of course she loved it!

This was inside the Haunted Mansion during the opening part where the pictures grow. :) Once we were inside, we just made it funny for her

After getting soaked on Splash Mountain! Since the weather was pretty chilly, the lines were so short! You could just walk right on! She LOVED this ride and we went on it so many times

Having a sword fight with Brod after Pirates of the Carribean ride

SUCH a cute pirate!! :)

One thing that I remembered from Disneyland when I was little was getting a huge lollipop. So I wanted to get one for Alexia too. She was so proud with it!

This is my other favorite picture because I happened to take a picture right when Mickey Mouse waved to her in the electrical parade

When we finally got home that night, I had to capture a picture of our little girl that was probably dreaming of her big day. (It was the first thing she started talking about when we woke her up)

How MAGICAL indeed! that is so precious. I love the excitement she had, and those pictures in her little tink dress where she is all proud just made me want to give her a hug! That is so fun that you were able to take her there while you lived there because disney world is SO much better than disney land. How fun, i can't wait to do that with my kids some day! Love you!
love, Rebekah
What fun! It really is a totally different experience when you take your kids, you want them to enjoy it as much as you did. We'll be going again in March to Disneyland and I can't wait, Jace will actually remember this one and he LOVES GOOFY! A truely Magical memory for all of you!
Jess, that post was so darling! I looked at it with Whit and every picture you could hear both of us going "oh." They were just precious little pictures. Everything about that trip was really magical. It was so cute to see Alexia's face through the whole thing because not only does she look so stinkin cute in that tinkerbell dress, but because she really believed that she was in a fairytale and was really meeting tinkerbell. You captured everything so perfectly- even the pictures of Alexia and Brod that just melt your heart. I loved everything and I just cannot even tell you what an amazing mother you are- and what a gorgeous one at that! you look so pretty! What a special memory you will always have. I'm so glad that you were able to do that with Alexia- she is so darling and we are so excited to see you gus. Love you so much Jess. Oh, by the way that condo looked like such a dream.... especially that bath tub- SO BIG!
Wow! What a wonderful time you guys had! She is such a sweet little girl and it is so fun to have those one-on-one moments...and it doesn't hurt to have those moments at DISNEYWORLD!!! I will always remember when we took our kids there 4 years ago. It was amazing and magical. And to go this time of year around the holidays...how wonderful! Glad it was so memorable. Would you mind e-mailing me your address so I can send you guys a Christmas card? If you have Doug's and Krystal's and Dallin's that would be soooo helpful too? Just if you have time! Thanks!

I am so jealous! I LOVE Disney World! I want to take my girls when Jaylee (my baby) gets older. Did you get to go to Epcot? How did Audrey take the news when you got home?
What a dream day for little Alexia. I've never seen the proudness. She is so darling, Jess. Noah and I are looking at it together and he said, "She really is so adorable!" It looks like she is walking around Disneyworld with a Princess mom and Prince dad! You both look so good, Jess. I loved all of the pictures. Brodie seems like such a cute dad and you are the world of a mom. How lucky is she? Such a blowout of a one-on-one that she will never forget. Love You!
