Happy Valentine's Day 2009

The girls woke up to heart shaped pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries on top
They were so proud-- gotta love the wake up look! :)

A valentine delivery from the girls' best friends Emily and Jacob
That afternoon we went to a festival at Brod's school - here we are having a picnic
Of course the girls wanted to get their nails painted!
Audrey chose red, Alexia chose pink
Showing off the new nails!
I had to hurry and capture because I thought it was so cute that daddy was blowing on Audrey's nails for her
They also got their faces painted- Audrey chose an animated skull and crossbones - yep, our girly pirate!
Alexia chose a pink heart of course!
Decorating cup cakes
The girls know that whenever they get tired, daddy is there to give them a rest!
Brod gave the girls thier valentines- their own box of chocolates

Brod's valentine to me was a dozen beautiful roses! (and the sweetest card I've ever read)
That night Brodie cooked for me and we had a candle light dinner on our balcony: Crab legs, sourdough bread, rice pilaf, shrimp scampi, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert!

Really, Jess. Who are you? That breakfast looked unreal. I should flashback to my last year when I tried the strawberry/whipcream thing and you've never seen anything look so poor. Yours were real martha. I love all of your pictures. The one with you and the girls was so precious. I really wish I could be around you and your little family more. You are such a wonderful mom with such a positive, unbelievable attitude. Seriously, how blessed are your girls to have you and Brodie? I'm so happy you had such a great Valentine's Day. I LOVE YOU
