On Tuesday morning, Audrey's new little friend invited her to go play and of course she was so proud. So I was just going to drop Audrey off on my way to the gym with Alexia. I was all ready for the gym when we dropped off Audrey and Hunter's mom asked if Alexia would like to stay and play as well. She said, "No thanks, I want to stay with my mommy." I thought for sure she would have wanted to play! So her and I got into the car and I told Lex how cute I thought it was that she would choose to stay with me. Then I realized I had a rare opportunity to spend a one on one with Alexia- her and I are never just alone. I was torn though because I knew I probably wouldn't get back to the gym and it's hard enough as it is to go! However, I thought of the long run and I knew a special morning with my Alexia would be so much more special than a gym session. So I turned the car around and asked Alexia if she wanted to go home, get ready, and go get a pedicure together. Her whole face lit up and she squealed as she said, "of course I do Mommy!" So we went home and got "fancy" together. It melted my heart because she wanted to wear what she thinks is her fanciest shirt, put on dress up bracelets and and a ring. It was so much fun getting a pedicure together and we just talked and talked. She got to pick out her own color and the look on her face when her toes were done was worth everything. We had a half an hour to spare when we were done so we went and got a pop. My girls know it's a special day when they get their own! On the way to get Audrey she said, "This has been the best day ever. Thanks so much Mom, you're my best friend." She talked about it throughout the day and when I was tucking her in that night I heard the same sweet words. So much more rewarding than losing a few calories.

That is the sweetest little story. What a special memory that will be cherished by both of you! You don't even need to go to the gym! You look great! I'm so excited for you to go to ID! Little jealous...yes, but excited to see fun pictures! Love you!
Now that I'm a mom that experience brings me to tears. The bond with your child is so amazing and Alexia is so lucky to have a mom like you that recongnizes precious moments and takes advantage of them. Alexia will never forget those few hours of proudness. Those were the cutest pictures. Alexia has the cutest smile. Also, I bet you are loving the pop on this side of the country:)
Love you,
rebekah
How SWEET!! That brings tears to my eyes. What a great mom you are!!
First of all, you don't need to go to the gym. You are so small. But, it was still so amazing how you took time out for Alexia. That is what makes you such a special mom, and that is why you and Alexia will be best friends. Such a sweet story, and it is a great reminder of the kind of moms we should all be. Love you and can't wait to see you soon!
You could not have planned that day in a million years! Of course you took the opportunity to find something so SPECIAL to do together and thought of the memory and time you could have together! That is the most darling post I have ever seen! You can just see the proudness and excitement in Alexia's face, and it could make you bawl thinking of how much it meant to her to be with you! Your girls just adore you- and I love watching it! But it's because you always take time to do the funnest things with them and make them feel so SPECIAL! AND I GUESS YOU WENT HOME TO GET FANCY... YOU LOOK SO GORGEOUS! You both do! I loved the pictures of your toes together- they look so cute! That is a day you will NEVER FORGET! You are the most incredible mom! Love you so much!
You are such a cute mom, jess! What a wonderful opportunity for Alexia. And those moments where it is unplanned and you just fly are the best. You are so cute. And her little face when she's getting her toes painted is just priceless!
I can't wait to see you when you come!!
Again, make me bawl! You have such a knack for that. That was the sweetest post. It made me emotional because you really learned from the best. I can't tell you how many times I ruined your mom's work outs. She would just be on the treadmill and I would call her. She ALWAYS flew off and made the memory. You are such a wonderful mother. Alexia is so beautiful. What a blessing to have her as your little best friend. Thanks for always reminding me of what is most important. I love you!

I can't even believe what a cute mom you are! How fun for Alexia to have that day with you. She will never forget it!
I think you made the right decision...you can't pass up on time with your kids, they grow up way to fast! You are okay to miss a day at the gym....you look fantastic!
Oh Jess...just when I think you couldn't be a cuter mom, I'm wrong! I learn so much from you. You have always lived in the moment and that's a rare quality! It's especially hard to do that as a mom I think. I'm so happy you're home and I get to see you!! I love you and miss you like crazy!
Jess, you are just the cutest Mom ever! But, you had such a good example! I have been gone all summer and was just getting caught up on other peoples lives! What a fun little adventure your family is on! You have such a beautiful family! And I LOVED your shoes they were so darling!
