My baby turns 3!

My precious Audrey turned 3 on June 15 and I really don't know how it happened so fast! I am so grateful for her and feel so blessed to be her mother. Here are a few of my favorite things about Audrey right now: 1. She will not leave the house without getting into her dress up box and putting on fancy shoes and a purse over her shoulder. She could still be in her pajamas and it wouldn't matter. She just loves to feel fancy and girly and I have called her my tiny diva before she was even one year old, I just knew she had it in her! 2. She loves to make anyone laugh, and she really is funny! She does things and says things that have Alexia and me laughing all of the time! 3. She's a little spunk and definetely wants things her way, but it's how she goes about getting her own way that is unreal. She has coaxing, playing with your hair while she asks, using those big beautiful eyes of hers, and using the highest voice you have ever heard, down to an art! There was one time that she was in trouble and she was looking down at the ground, so I told her to look at me. When she looked up her eyes immediately melted my heart and I started smiling (so that whole teaching lesson was lost) and I know it's not going to be the last time those eyes get her out of trouble! When she was a toddler she wanted my mom to open the back door, so she went over to my mom, layed her head on her shoulder and THEN pointed to the door. We couldn't let the cat in, so my mom told her she couldn't. However, Audrey wasn't going to accept that answer, so she would go back over, put both her arms around my mom's neck and just love her and then point to the door again. This happened until, you guessed it, my mom opened the door. The other experience I want to write about for my journal purposes, is when she was a toddler in her crib for the night and wanted to get out. She would yell for me over and over, but I wouldn't answer. Then I heard her yell, "mommy, diaper off!" So I had to go in there and she had taken off her diaper so I got her out, (I knew she was so satisfied with her plan, but it didn't end there) and brought her in the family room where Brod was to put a new diaper back on her. I put it on and she said, "snuggle daddy!" So of course, it made Brod proud and she got to snuggle into his lap. A minute later she said, "watch Dora? Okay!" acting like Brod and I suggested it! We just looked at eachother and I only let her little plan work for so long, because I put her back in her crib! But the planning and scheming that went on was unbelievable! 5. Whenever she needs my attention, she comes and finds me and I hear this sweet little voice say, "mommy?" when I answer she says, "I want you" It completely melts my heart and sometimes she goes a step further and asks, "can I have you?" I drop whatever I'm doing and pick her up and snuggle her. I love it. Okay, so I really could just keep going forever, but I love my darling Audrey...happy birthday honey.

I can't believe my baby is now a 3 year old diva!
She wore her "birthday princess" crown when we brought her breakfast in bed-she wanted an omelette with salsa(yep, my girl) and chocolate donut holes with strawberry milk!
So excited to open all of her presents!
She got a little ballerina dress (which is what she asked for) along with sunglasses, purse, lipgloss, and cards from both her perfect grandparents (and those were my favorite presents)

She got to start her day off with not having to wait out in the car while I got my pop, she got to come in and get her own! I really don't know if I've ever seen her more proud. Really.
Then we took her to Paradise Cove, which is this darling water park and Brod and his girls had a blast.

Then, more than anything on her birthday, she wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese!
This horse was a simulated game and you really had to ride the horse, like guide it and kick the sides, etc. and you were racing on the screen. Look how concentrated she is! And Brod and I were laughing so hard because she did SO good!

Her face says it all when the race was over
And guess where she chose for her birthday dinner? Of course, a happy meal at McDonalds! (We're going to enjoy this while it lasts)
Then we took her to the library and let her pick out a movie for her and Lex to watch that night
It seems like I bearly put that candle on Alexia's cake... where does the time go?
She had completely given in by the time bedtime came, and daddy took advantage of such a precious situation!

I can't believe little Audrey is already 3 either. I remember when she was born and I knew she would look just like you. It looks like the most special day and it will be so fun when we can spend those special days together. Audrey is so darling and even though you had hardness with Alexia's hair it looks really pretty. Your family is just growing up and getting more beautiful everytime I look. Love and miss you. Jenn

Oh my gosh! That post was so special! Audrey is growing up so fast and she couldn't be more darling. Both Alexia and Audrey are so dang cute! (And Alexia's hair does look really cute :) Anyways, but I'm so glad that you wrote about what you love about Audrey, because you will never forget those stinkish things that she does (and has always done). She has so many DIVA moments and it is so funny. I love you guys so much, and I it will be so much fun to see you. P.S. I love all the pictures, but I love the one of you and Audrey getting a pop, the one of Brod and Audrey asleep after a long day, and the one of Audrey with her birthday cake- she is so darling. LOVE YOU SO MUCH, KRYS

I can't believe she is 3!!! This post is so sweet. "Can I have you" melted my heart too! And that picture of her and Brodie at the end literally made me cry! I LOVED the proudness getting a drink with you...mine are SO PROUD when I let them come in with me. (Which doesn't happen very often!) You are such amazing parents, Jess. I was so hoping you'd get to be here for the 4th, but hopefully you'll be here for Dallin's farewell. Let me know because I really want to see you! Love you, and Happy Birthday little stink!

Isn't it crazy how fast time goes? My oldest is almost 4 and I just cannot believe it. It is SO fun to see them grow and learn so much more, but definitely sad at the same time.

Jess -- I LOVE THIS POST! Not being around her, it is so fun to read about her little personality. You are the sweetest mother, Jess. You can tell how close you are to your kids. The post made me cry! The time flies. You are the biggest blowout. It sounded like the funnest birthday ever. I love the pop picture. Such a cute idea because it will be one of many to come! She will be your little best friend (probably is already). Your family is so darling, Jess. You are Brodie are such a cute couple and could not have more darling kids. I love you.

Hey Jess...did you try sending me an email? I think I saw your name in my junk inbox and I deleted it before I could check.

Audrey is sooo cute! She has very pretty eyes I must agree. I couldn't believe when Maddox turned 3..it's like they're officially not babies anymore. So sad. Are you going to ID anytime soon?
